At SimplePark we keep the cost of our services as low as possible. You pay two small, transparent fees: service costs and transaction costs.
What does parking with SimplePark cost?
Parking with SimplePark costs the municipality's parking rate plus €0.29 in service costs per parking action. There is no subscription and no monthly fee: if you do not use the app for a month, that month costs you nothing. You pay by the minute, so you only pay for the time you were actually parked. The parking rate itself differs per municipality and per zone, and goes entirely to the municipality.
On top of the service costs you pay transaction costs at the moment you top up your balance: €0.29 per payment with iDEAL or Wero, and €0.29 per SEPA direct debit. Those costs belong to the payment and not to the parking action. Top up once for several parking sessions and you pay the transaction costs only once.
If you park in an area where parking is free, we charge no service costs. SimplePark works in more than 170 Dutch cities.
Processing a payment is relatively expensive and our margin is small: the parking rate itself goes entirely to the municipality. To be able to lower the service costs, we therefore also introduced transaction costs. This way we keep the total cost for you as low as possible.

* SEPA direct debit isn’t available to new users right away, partly due to the risk of chargebacks. Once it’s available, you’ll get an email and can activate it yourself.

Park multiple times on a single payment and you only pay transaction costs once. That’s how you lower your total service and transaction costs.
