Payment method

Direct debit.

With direct debit you pay parking costs afterwards. This means you don’t have to top up in advance and can start parking right away without first adding credit to your parking balance.

Outstanding parking costs are usually collected automatically from your linked bank account around the 25th of each month. In some situations a collection can also take place in between.

Good to know

Why isn’t direct debit available yet?

To prevent misuse and unpaid parking costs, direct debit is not immediately available for new accounts. First you build a positive payment history by using parking credit.

Once your account has been used correctly and without payment issues for a certain period, direct debit can be made available.

How do I get access?

Use SimplePark as you normally would and add parking credit via iDEAL or another available payment method. As soon as your account meets the conditions for direct debit, you’ll automatically receive a notification in the app.

What are the benefits?

  • No upfront top-ups needed.
  • Pay parking costs afterwards.
  • Park right away without first adding credit.
  • No interruptions when your parking credit runs out.

Can direct debit be withdrawn again?

Yes. SimplePark can restrict or withdraw direct debit in case of, for example, failed collections, chargebacks, fraud or other payment issues. In that case you can still use SimplePark by topping up parking credit in advance.
