Free parking in Oud-Beijerland

Hoeksche Waard is one of the few municipalities where you need not worry about parking charges. In the centre of Oud-Beijerland, the island's largest shopping area, you have parked for free since 2016. There are many parking spaces, and the centre is easy to reach by car from Hoeksche Waard itself, but also from Spijkenisse, Barendrecht and Rotterdam.

If you come to shop, Centrum noord is the place to look. The three largest sites are there: P1, P2 and P3, on Ankerplein, Het Dok and Vierwiekenplein. From those sites you walk straight into the shopping streets. From the approach roads just follow the parking signs; they point you to the nearest location.

Shop&go: a quick errand

On a small number of spaces right in the centre the shop&go principle applies. Those bays are blue and meant for anyone picking something up quickly: you may stand there for a maximum of 30 minutes and you put a blue parking disc on your arrival time behind the windscreen. At the spaces concerned that is clearly indicated, so you will not walk into it by accident. If you want to stay longer, use one of the large sites in Centrum noord.

Easy without a car too

Oud-Beijerland is not only reachable by car. There are bus stops within walking distance of the shops, the hospitality and the weekly market, and from Spijkenisse and Rhoon a ferry runs to the centre. You can also moor with your own leisure boat. Cyclists can park their bike safely at several spots in and around the centre.

So you do not need a parking app in Oud-Beijerland. If you drive on to a municipality that does have paid parking, you start your session with SimplePark as soon as you stop and stop it when you drive off; you pay per minute there.
