Where to park in Den Bosch

The city centre of 's-Hertogenbosch sits inside a ring of eight car parks, and signs along the approach roads show where there is still space. For the Parade and the Sint-Jan you drive into the car park of the same name, for the station that is Stationsplein or Paleiskwartier, and for shopping centre de Arena the Arena car park. Wolvenhoek sits in the middle of the centre and is open day and night; Tolbrug, Sint Josephstraat and Arena have limited opening hours, but you can always exit.

If you want to stand right by an address in the city centre, you can do that on the street. That is the most expensive option, though: the hourly rate differs per zone and rises to well over four euros. On the municipality's map you click a neighbourhood and see the zone, the paid hours and the rate of that area.

Transferia on the edge of the city

If you stay longer or come with more people, the three transferia are by far the cheapest. At De Vliert, Pettelaarpark and Deutersestraat you pay a fixed day amount and then continue for free with the shuttle bus or a loan bike. A maximum of four people may travel per ticket, so with a full car it is quickly cheaper than a car park.

Also watch the closures in the city centre. A number of streets are only accessible via a rising bollard in the road or via licence-plate recognition; anyone who drives in there without permission gets a fine on the doormat.

Paying and stopping your session

On the street you pass the meter's location code to your parking provider and afterwards you only pay for the time you actually stood there.
