Blue zone or paying
Parking in Boxtel is arranged in two ways. In the center, in Breukelen-Zuid and in part of the Selissenwal shopping area there is a parking-disc zone: blue lines around the bays and signs at the entrance. There you put a parking disc behind the windscreen. In the zone in the center you do that from Monday to Thursday and on Saturday from 9:00 to 18:00, and on Friday from 9:00 to 21:00. So on Friday you need the disc until later in the evening than on other days.
In addition, paid parking applies at various spots in Boxtel. Boxtel does not publish one rate for the whole municipality: the parking meter shows what it costs at that spot. You pay with coins, with your debit card or via your phone.
Rechterstraat: cameras in the pedestrian area
The busy, narrow part of Rechterstraat is largely a pedestrian area. Cars do not belong there, and parking is not allowed. Three cameras of a license-plate recognition system keep an eye on it: on Rechterstraat near Rozemarijnstraat, at the Zwaanse brug and at the Markt/Kruisstraat crossing. They work day and night, all week. If the system recognizes a registration without an exemption, an enforcement officer checks the photo and a fine follows. So do not let your satnav send you into Rechterstraat; park nearby and walk the last stretch.
Paying with your phone
