Parking in Tilburg: rates, zones and hours

City centre or car park
Tilburg makes the choice in the city centre simple, and expensive: if you park on-street there, there is only one product and that is the day ticket of 25 euro. Briefly picking something up and paying by the hour is not possible. Outside the city centre the on-street rate depends on the location; you read that on the meter or in your app.
If you are going into the centre, you are therefore better off driving straight into a car park. The municipality has eight car parks in and around the centre, from 013-Tivoli and Emmapassage to Pieter Vreedeplein, Schouwburg and Spoorzone-Zwijsen. Signs along the approach roads count down how many spaces are still free, so you do not have to search. The car parks are managed by P1, which also handles the season tickets and permits.
Free on the edge: P+R and carpool
If you stay longer or are travelling through, the three P+R sites at the stations are the cheapest: Tilburg Universiteit on Troelstraat, Reeshof Noord on Ketelhavenplein and Reeshof Zuid on Woerdenstraat. All three are free, with over five hundred spaces between them. On the edge of the city there are also four free carpool sites, among others on Meierijbaan and at the slips of the N65 and the A58.
Mind the low-traffic centre. Except between 06:00 and 11:00 in the morning, a large part of the city centre is closed to motorised traffic, and cameras record who still drives in. On public holidays the Sunday rules apply.
Enforcement and paying
Municipal parking attendants issue the additional parking-tax assessments; the collection office Cannock sends them to you on behalf of the municipality.
