Where to park in Oosterhout
Oosterhout's city center has four car parks and a series of parking sites, such as the Schapendries, the Heuvel and the Torenkwartier. Two of the garages are municipal: Arendshof at Arendshof 201 and Basiliek at Valkenstraat 15. There you pay € 1.90 per hour with a maximum of € 7.60 per day, so anyone who stays longer stays safely under that cap.
On-street and at the parking meters the same hourly rate of € 1.90 applies, but the day ticket runs up to € 9.50. Permit-holder areas and the evening
Around the city center lie streets for permit holders. As a visitor you can park there too, but then you pay the high rate via phone parking. If you stay in the evening in the Basiliek, there is a separate arrangement: between 18:00 and 9:00 you pay a maximum of € 3.80 there. For an evening out in the center that garage is therefore the logical place. The opening hours and the exact boundaries of the areas are on the signs on site.
Paying and enforcement
At the meters on-street you pay with coins or with your debit card, contactless or with the card in the reader; credit cards are not accepted there. In the Arendshof car park it is the other way around: only debit card or credit card. The municipality wants to switch to enforcement with a scan car, and is therefore introducing a separate free permit for holders of a European disabled parking badge.
You can also simply pay with your phone.
