SimplePark knows all 71 parking zones of Eindhoven: start your session in the app, stop it when you leave and pay only for the time you parked. Free parking is available at P+R Genneper Parken. The municipality checks with a scan car, so your number plate has to be right. The rates come from the municipality and were checked on September 7, 2026. With SimplePark you start and stop the parking session in the app and pay by the minute, plus €0.29 in service costs per parking action.
Where paid parking applies in Eindhoven
Eindhoven has drawn paid parking wide: inside the whole ring you pay for a space in public space, and outside it it applies at a number of separate spots, such as at the airport and Woensel shopping centre. The municipality does that to limit parking pressure for residents and businesses. Which rate applies exactly differs per neighbourhood; that is on the parking meter and in your parking app, and the municipality publishes it per parking area on a map.
In the centre itself, less space has deliberately been made for cars. Anyone who knows that would rather park at the edge. If you come from the south, P+R Genneper Parken on Aalsterweg is the logical choice: there you pay € 1.50 per hour or € 4.00 for 24 hours, and with bus 7, 317, 318 or 408 you are in the city in about ten minutes. At the meter you also buy a bus return for € 0.50 per person, for a maximum of five people. If you come from the direction of Den Bosch or Tilburg, P+R Meerhoven sits directly next to the N2; it is operated by P1 and has its own rate.
Every day, including Sunday
What makes Eindhoven different from most cities: paid parking applies from 9.00 to 21.00 on all days of the week, including Sundays and public holidays. Anyone used to Sunday being free is in for a surprise here. That does not apply at the P+Rs: they are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and work with their own day rate, at which you may stand up to 28 days in a row.
Enforcement with the scan car
A scan car drives through the streets and reads licence plates; that is how it is checked whether payment has been made for your car. At the parking meter you can only settle with a debit card or credit card and you enter your licence plate on the screen. You no longer get a ticket behind the windscreen. Easier is your phone: with SimplePark you start your parking session as soon as you stop and stop it when you drive away, so you pay by the minute and settle afterwards. In the car parks mobile parking does not work; there you pay afterwards at the meter anyway.
