Where to park in Breda
Breda has two on-street rates. Inside the Singel, in the city-center zone, you pay € 2.70 per hour; outside it, in the Singel zone, € 1.80 per hour. You park by license plate: at the meter you enter your plate and pay by debit card, or you start a parking action with a parking app. The zone codes are on the meter. If the meter does not work, you may not park for free; you use another meter in the same zone or you pay via the app.
If you stay longer, one of the five municipal car parks is often wiser: Barones on Nieuweweg, Chassé Parking on Coulissen, Oranje Zuid on Concordiastraat, Het Turfschip on Chasséveld and De Prins on Middellaan. The same rate applies everywhere: € 2.36 per hour and € 14 for 24 hours. Anyone coming for dinner or the theater in the evening pays at most € 5.50 between 18.00 and 9.00. In addition there are parking sites at the Beyerd-Vlaszak, the Chasséveld and the Gasthuisvelden with the Arsenaalpad.
Hours per neighborhood
The end time depends on where you park. In the neighborhoods around the city center you pay from Monday to Saturday from 9.00 to 1.00 and on Sunday from 12.00 to 1.00. Those are Spoorbuurt, Sophiastraat, Nonnenveld, Gerardus Majella and Middellaan, areas 1301 to 1305. In Nonnenveld and surroundings you also pay the day rate straight away. In the neighborhoods further from the center, such as Belcrum, Zandberg, Brabantpark and Boeimeer, paid parking runs from 9.00 to 22.00 and on Sunday from 12.00 to 18.00. On the designated public holidays you park for free.

Because in Breda you pay late into the evening and the end time differs per neighborhood, paying afterwards for the time you actually park is practical.
