Where to park in Gouda
Gouda is divided into eight numbered sectors, and the gap between the most expensive and the cheapest is large. Sector 1, the city centre, is deliberately the dearest; the sites at the edge, Klein Amerika, Schouwburgplein and Vossenburchkade, cost half or less and sit within walking distance of the Markt and the Sint-Janskerk. The residential districts Kort Haarlem and Korte Akkeren are paid areas too.
For visitors the municipality's advice is fairly clear: drive into one of the three car parks or leave your car on one of the sites around them. What makes Gouda different from most centre municipalities: paid parking runs through to 24.00. If you go out for dinner in the evening, you have to take that into account.
