Where to park in Noordwijk

Noordwijk charges per area, and the differences are large. If you come for the beach, the centre of Noordwijk aan Zee or one of the sites on the boulevard is the cheapest: the first two hours cost € 1.20 per hour and only after that it rises to € 3.00. A beach afternoon is therefore manageable. If you stay all day, the day rate on the boulevards and the Wantveld is € 10.00, or € 15.00 in high season. At the Langevelderslag and Duindamseslag beach accesses that sits at € 5.00 and € 10.00.

The residential neighbourhoods are expensive. In the Zeeheldenkwartier, the Auteursbuurt, on the Bosweg and on the Dobbelmannduin you pay € 3.00 per hour, around the clock and seven days a week, with no day rate. That is deliberate: those spaces are not meant for beachgoers. In all other areas of the municipality you simply park for free, as long as you stay within the bays.

Season, evenings and blue zones

In high season paid parking by the sea runs through to 23:00 instead of 21:00, and the day rate goes up as well. On the Kloosterplein and in the Raadhuisstraat it already stops at 18:00. The municipality also has many blue zones, and those differ among themselves: in Noordwijkerhout centre and on the Pilarenlaan at the Vomar you may stand two hours with a disc, on the hockey club grounds and at the Binnenzee swimming pool three hours, and in De Zilk the zone only applies on Saturday. So always check the sign for which time and which maximum stay apply.

Paying and enforcement

You pay with your debit card at the meter or with a parking app on your phone; the municipality has outsourced parking to Parkeerservice Noordwijk. If a meter is broken, you still have to pay, at another meter or by phone. With SimplePark you start the session as soon as you stop and stop it when you drive off: you pay per minute, and that especially saves in Noordwijk, where the rate more than doubles after two hours.
