Choose your zone in Oss
Oss does not work with one centre rate but with four zones, each with its own price. Right next to the centre lies zone 1, meant for short stops: you pay € 1.00 for the first half hour and then € 4.00 per hour, so that only pays if you leave again quickly. Zone 2 is the centre area with sites such as Eikenboomgaardplein, Boschpoorthof, Oostwal-West, Kruisstraat, Maasvallei and Ridderhof: € 2.00 per hour, with a day maximum of € 12.00.
If you stay longer, zone 3 is the place. On the long-stay sites at the edge of the centre and in the Bergoss and Oostwal-Oost car parks you also pay € 2.00 per hour, but the bill does not rise further than € 6.00 per day. In the residential areas and at the other regulated places (zone 4) you pay € 2.00 for the first hour and then € 4.00 per hour; that is done deliberately to discourage long-stay parking in residential streets. Anyone who wants to pay nothing at all puts the car on the free Rusheuvel car park.
Paid hours, public holidays and the car parks
On-street and on the sites you pay from Monday to Saturday between 09:00 and 22:00. For the Bergoss and Oostwal-Oost car parks other rules apply: there you pay seven days a week, 24 hours a day, including on public holidays. At the Jurgensplein car park paid parking applies from Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 22:00. Everywhere else parking is free on official public holidays. Note: the municipality has announced that the rates and paid hours will be adjusted from 1 October 2026; so always check the meter.
Licence plate, scan car and the app
In Oss you park by licence plate. At the meter you enter your licence plate and you get no ticket; in the app you check that the correct licence plate is active. A scan car drives past and checks all licence plates in the National Parking Register, so a forgotten parking session shows up immediately. At the garages and the Jurgensplein, licence-plate cameras at the entrance automatically sign you in and out.
If you start your session with SimplePark, the time starts running as soon as you stop and stops when you drive off: you pay per minute, and in a city with four different zone rates that saves a lot of arithmetic in advance.
