Managing notifications and emails

Under Profile › Notifications you switch push and email on or off per kind of message, and choose how often or how far ahead you hear from us.

Updated September 8, 2026

The app has its own screen for your messages: Profile › Notifications. It lists four groups of messages, each with a short explanation underneath and a switch per channel: Push notification, Email, or both. Two groups also carry a slider, with which you choose how often or how far ahead you hear something. Whatever is missing from that screen is fixed and cannot be switched off.

Where you set it

  1. Open the app and go to Profile › Notifications.
  2. Find the group whose messages you want to change.
  3. Switch Push notification or Email on or off.
  4. Drag the slider to the time you want; the chosen number of minutes is shown beside it.

There is no save button: every change goes to your account straight away. If that fails, because you briefly have no connection for instance, the switch slides back to its old position and an error appears. The slider has fixed stops; there are no values in between.

The four groups

GroupWhat you can setDefault
Active parking actionpush; every 15 to 240 minuteson, every 60 minutes
Parking ends soonpush and email; 5 to 60 minutes aheadpush on, email off, 15 minutes ahead
Parking endedpush and emailboth on
Top-up confirmationemailon

The reminder while you are parked is push only; that group has no email channel. The confirmation of a top-up is the other way round: email only, with the invoice attached. Parking ended also covers your parking receipt. How the warning before your end time works is in Reminder before your parking time ends.

What always comes through

Messages about money and about access to your account are not on that screen and always go out: your verification codes, the announcement of a direct debit, the confirmation of a payment you made yourself, a failed direct debit, a message that your account has been blocked or unblocked, scheduled maintenance, the reminders if an amount stays unpaid, and the handling of a request for your data. Those arrive by email, and some of them as a push message too. So make sure the email address on your account is correct.

If the screen shows nothing

If the app cannot fetch your settings, it shows Notification settings unavailable with the text "We couldn't load your notification settings. Check your connection and try again." There is no retry button under it; pull the screen down to refresh, or go back and open it again once you have a connection.

It can also be that you see No notification settings, with the text "There are no notifications to configure here at the moment." In that case the server is offering no groups at all. That is rare; if your notifications are not arriving either, see I am not receiving notifications.
