When you start a parking action there is always one vehicle preselected. If your account holds several cars, you decide which one that is: the car with the Default vehicle switch turned on. Then you only have to choose deliberately when you drive another car. With just one vehicle it is the default by itself and there is nothing to set.
How to set a default vehicle
- Tap Profile at the bottom and choose Vehicles.
- Tap the vehicle you want to use by default.
- Turn on the Default vehicle switch.
The app explains what the switch does: "Use this license plate automatically when starting a parking activity." From then on the vehicle sits at the top of your list with the label Default. There can only be one default; switch it on for another car and it goes off for the previous one.
When you drive another car for once
When starting you open the vehicle picker, headed "Select the vehicle you want to start a parking action with", and pick the right car. That does not change your default. The app remembers your choice while you are using it; open the app again later and the default vehicle is preselected once more.
Which car do you make the default?
If you use two cars about equally often, take the one where a mistake is most expensive: the car you park in pricey city-centre zones. Give both a clear name so the picker shows you at once which is selected; how that works is in Managing your vehicles.
When the default vehicle disappears
If you remove the car set as the default, the vehicle you have had longest takes over that role. See Removing a vehicle. Getting a new lease car? Add the new vehicle first, turn the switch on there, and only then remove the old one. In that order there is never a moment when a car you no longer drive is preselected.
If an action is already running on your default vehicle and you want to start a second one, pick another car in the picker: only one action can run per vehicle at a time.
