Paid hours and shopping Sundays
Paid parking applies Monday to Saturday between 8.00 and 18.00, on late-night shopping evenings through to 21.00 and on shopping Sundays from 12.00 to 18.00. That last one is the trap: those shopping Sundays are every first and last Sunday of the month, and in December all Sundays. On New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Whit Sunday and Christmas Day, however, parking is free.
