The first hour is free, but register
Beverwijk has an arrangement you can easily miss: in the center the first hour is free from Monday to Saturday, but only if you register your plate at the meter or in a parking app. If you do not, you are parked there without a right to park. From the second hour you pay € 1.70 per hour, with a maximum of € 14.00 per day. On Breestraat you may park for 1 hour at most.
Paid parking applies Monday to Saturday between 9.00 and 19.00. Around the Kennemer Theater that runs through to 22.00, so theatergoers do not park free on the street during the evening performance. Where you park free
There are enough spots where you pay nothing: Wijckerpoort car park behind the station, the car park on Akerendamlaan opposite Nova College and P+R Wijckermolen of NS, which is free if you also take the train. If you go to the theater, you can use Kerkplein at the door and the car park at the junction of Alkmaarseweg and Burgemeester Scholtensstraat. Outside the center there are blue zones at the Plantage and Wijkerbaan shopping centers and on the Marloterrein.
The Bazaar and Wijk aan Zee
For the Beverwijk Bazaar parking zone a rate of € 1.70 per hour applies on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 7.00 to 18.00, with no maximum day rate. The Bazaar's own car park is private and costs € 2.00 per hour with a maximum of € 5.00 per day. In Wijk aan Zee you park free in most streets; in the red-marked streets it is from Friday evening to Sunday night for permit holders only.
