At the beach or in the village
Bloemendaal is really two parking towns in one. On the coast there are two large car parks by the beach, covered by a solar roof of 5000 solar panels, and there the rate depends on the season. From 1 March to 1 November you pay € 4.95 per hour and a full day runs up to € 34.65; in the months outside that it drops to € 1.90 per hour and € 15.20 per day. The paid hours shift with it: in season paid parking applies daily from 8.00 to 22.00, in the winter period from 10.00 to 18.00.
In the village centers it is a different story. Paid parking applies there only on Bloemendaalseweg and Kerkplein in Bloemendaal, Monday to Saturday between 9.00 and 18.00, for € 1.90 per hour. The rest of the municipality works with blue zones and permit-holder areas.
Blue zones per village
In Aerdenhout there is a blue zone around Dahlialaan, Goudsbloemplein, Madelievenlaan, Teding van Berkhoutlaan and Verbenalaan: Monday to Saturday between 8.00 and 18.00 you set a parking disc and park for max. 2 hours. In Bennebroek a blue zone applies on Bennebroekerlaan, Zwarteweg and part of the Rijksstraatweg, on weekdays between 8.00 and 18.00 and on Zwarteweg on Saturday too.
Overveen is the most fine-grained. North of the level crossing you may park for max. 1 hour on Tetterodeweg, Ter Hoffsteedeweg and Ruysdaelweg, on weekdays until 18.00 and on Saturday until 17.00. South of it blue zone and permit-holder area alternate per street section, partly until 17.30 and then only for permit holders. As a visitor the rule everywhere in an Overveen blue zone is: set the disc, max. 1 hour.
Paying and fines
At the beach and on Bloemendaalseweg you pay at the meter by card, or with your phone. If you enter a wrong plate or pay too little, you get a parking fine (naheffingsaanslag).
