Where you pay in Ede, and where you don't
Ede is a municipality with a small paid area and a lot of free space around it. In the villages and in the rest of Ede you usually park free; sometimes a sign asks for a parking disc. Only in the center do you really pay, and then on a handful of streets and squares: Bergstraat, Molenstraat, Kuiperplein, Maanderweg, Posthoornstraat, Burgemeester Van Dijkeplein and a few spots around them. Around that center and at the station, on-street parking is reserved for permit holders and visitor cards.
The rate is not expressed per hour but per 25 minutes: € 1.00. If you stay longer, a day ticket of € 6.50 is cheaper. If you want to park under cover, there are De Markt and Achterdoelen car parks, which are operated by Q-Park and apply their own rates.
Hours, the station and the Enka neighborhood
Paid parking applies from Monday to Saturday between 7.00 and 18.00, so an early start, but also an early finish. After 18.00 and on Sundays and public holidays parking costs nothing. Good Friday and 5 May are an exception: they are free only once every 5 years. The meter and your parking app tell you when that is the case.
At station Ede-Wageningen a new P+R car park has been open since 1 August 2026. There you pay € 2.40 per hour, or a day rate: € 4.50 if you travel on by train and € 9.00 if you do not. If you park there for 7 days in a row, you pay € 12.50 per day from then on. In the adjoining Enka neighborhood, paid parking has applied in zone A since 1 August 2026, to stop train travelers leaving their cars in the neighborhood. The same rate of € 1.00 per 25 minutes applies there, but only on weekdays between 10.00 and 16.00, with a day ticket of € 12.50.
Paying with your phone
You pay at the meter or with your phone.
