On Duivenweide car park by Theater aan de Duivenwal that is € 2.50, and in the three municipal car parks also € 2.50. On Duivenweide and in the car parks there is also a day rate: € 8.00 per day, and on Saturday € 9.50. On-street there is no daily maximum, so for a long day in the center the car park or Duivenweide is almost always the better choice.
The paid hours on-street run from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 20:00, and on Friday evening and other late-night shopping evenings until 22:00. On public holidays you do not have to pay on-street: New Year's Day, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, Ascension Day, King's Day, Whit Sunday and Whit Monday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
The car parks have their own clock
Mind the exception: in Tricotage, Gemeentehuis and Arie van Hensbergen paid parking applies from Monday to Sunday, all day between 0:00 and 23:59, public holidays included. Those car parks have had no barrier since 2023. You park, enter your license plate at the meter in the car park and settle afterwards with debit card or cash. The meters do not give change. Anyone who drives out without paying can no longer put it right and gets a fine.
There are also three commercial car parks: Scheepjeshof on Zandstraat and Nieuweweg, Passage at Passage 54 and Corridor on J.G. Sandbrinkstraat. Those are operated by companies and have their own rates and hours.

Everything in Veenendaal runs on your license plate. At the meter on-street you enter it, in the car park too, and the scan car that has been driving around since 2022 reads it.
