Where to park in Haarlemmermeer

Haarlemmermeer has a town center, an airport and business parks, each with its own rules. In Hoofddorp center and Hyde Park you pay one fixed hourly rate, as at Hoofddorp station, where the meter runs day and night. On the west side of Hoofdweg and at Den Burgh you pay less than a euro per hour, so if you do not mind walking the last stretch, that is where you save.

At Schiphol Centrum you can park on the street for a short stay, at the highest rate in the municipality; for longer stays the airport has its own car parks. At Nieuw-Vennep station it is the other way round: the first 24 hours are free, provided you register your license plate. After that you pay a small daily amount, and from the fourth day an hourly rate.

Where the rate rises by the hour

The Shop & Go zone on Kruisweg works differently. The first half hour is cheap, but every hour after that costs more: good for a quick errand, expensive if you leave the car all day. The same rising table applies on Business Park Oude Meer, and Beukenhorst Oost has a milder version.

How late you pay

In the center, at Hyde Park and in the Shop & Go zone you pay from Monday to Saturday until 21.00 and on Sunday from 12.00. On the west side of Hoofdweg and at Den Burgh it stops at 18.00, except on Friday on Hoofdweg, when it runs until 21.00. In Beukenhorst Oost and at Schiphol Centrum you pay on weekdays only. On Business Park Oude Meer and at Hoofddorp station paid parking runs 24 hours a day, and in places on Oude Meer you may only park for one or 3 hours, as signposted.

Paying and enforcement

Everything runs on your license plate, whether you pay at the meter or in an app. Even during the free first 24 hours at Nieuw-Vennep station you have to register it, otherwise it counts as unpaid.
