Where to park in Vlaardingen
Paid parking applies in and around Vlaardingen city center. You have two choices there: the street, where you pay at the meter or with a parking app, or one of the car parks. Those car parks are not managed by the municipality but by APCOA Parking, so their opening hours and rates are on that operator's site and not on the municipal page.
One spot falls outside ordinary paid parking: Van Leydenshof. Only cars with a permit may park there. A parking ticket or a registration via an app does not help you there: those spaces are simply not available for visitors. If you come into the center without planning, watch the signs before you park.
When you pay
On-street you pay from Monday to Saturday between 9:00 and 19:00. Outside those hours and on Sunday you park free. The same applies to a list of public holidays the municipality sets each year, including New Year's Day, King's Day, Ascension Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
If you yourself live in the paid-parking area, there is also the Visiteregeling Parkeren Vlaardingen: via a web app you register your visitors, who can then park free for a number of hours per quarter. A parking action never runs longer than from 9:00 to 19:00 on the same day; for the next day you register your visitors again.
Paying on-street
