Your password belongs with your phone number: together they are the access to your account, your balance and your vehicles. You change it in the app, without logging out and without us. Do it if you suspect someone else knows it, if you also used it at another service, or simply because it has been a while.
How to change your password
- Open the app and tap Profile at the bottom.
- In the settings list, tap Security.
- Tap Update password.
- Enter your current password at Current password.
- Choose your new password at Password and repeat it at Confirm password.
- Tap Save.
You stay logged in on the device you make the change on. Afterwards the Security screen shows behind Update password when you last changed it.
What your new password has to meet
The app checks your input straight away. A password is at least eight characters and contains at least one lower-case letter, one capital, one digit and one special character. Below the field the app shows the hint "Minimum 8 characters with uppercase, lowercase, a number, and a special character." If the two fields do not match, the app says "Passwords do not match" and you cannot save yet.
Beyond that the usual rules apply: use it nowhere else, because most cracked accounts are opened with a password that leaked at another service. And make it long: a sentence of a few words is stronger than a short word with a digit after it.
Signed in with Google or Apple
Above Update password is the row Signed in with, showing Phone number, Google or Apple. If you signed up with Google or Apple, your account has no password: behind Update password it then says Not set yet. The screen always asks for your current password, so you cannot set one this way. You keep logging in through Continue with Google or Continue with Apple; your security is then arranged at Google or Apple themselves.
Lost your current password
Without your current password you cannot change anything here. Log out and use Forgot password on the sign-in screen instead: you set a new password with an SMS code at your phone number. See Forgot password.
If you suspect someone else has been in your account, change your password right away, check under Activities whether there are parking actions you do not recognise and check under Vehicles whether there are plates that are not yours. Then email [email protected] and we work out together what happened. Under our terms you always report loss of your login details or unauthorised use to us straight away.
