In daily use you do not need to log out: the app remembers you, so you can start right away at a parking spot. Logging out is wise when you give away, sell or hand in your phone for repair, or when you no longer use a device. After that nobody can park on your account from that device.
How to log out
- Open the app and tap Profile at the bottom.
- Scroll all the way down, past the Legal block.
- Tap Log out next to the version number.
There is no confirmation question: you are logged out immediately and return to the sign-in screen. Your data, your balance and your activities simply stay with us. You log in again with your phone number and your password, or with Continue with Google or Continue with Apple, whichever way you created your account.
A running parking action keeps running
Logging out does not stop a running parking action. It keeps running on our servers until it is stopped or until the end time or the maximum parking duration is reached. So stop your action first, or log in on another device to stop it there.
Your phone is lost or stolen
You cannot log a device out remotely; the app has no overview of your devices. So do this:
- Change your password as soon as possible on another device, or set a new one with Forgot password. See Changing your password.
- Check under Activities whether there are parking actions you do not recognise, and under Vehicles whether there are plates that are not yours.
- Email [email protected] that your device is gone; we then keep an extra eye on your account.
Also use Apple's or Google's feature to wipe your phone remotely. If your account runs through Google or Apple, your security sits with them: change your password there and sign the device out.
Logging out, or something else
Sometimes you are suddenly back on the sign-in screen without asking for it, for instance after a major update of the app or once your session has expired. The app then says "Your session has expired. Please log in again." Just log in again; nothing is lost. If you do not recognise it and changed nothing yourself, change your password to be safe.
Do not confuse logging out with closing your account either. Logging out only detaches this device from your account; the account itself stays. If you want your account and your data deleted for good, that is a different step, through Profile › Security › Delete account. See Deleting your account.
