If you have lost your password, you set a new one through your account's phone number. You get a 6-digit code by text message and then choose a new password right away. No email and no reset link are involved, and the text message costs you nothing. Your balance, your vehicles and your activities stay as they are; only your password changes.
How to set a new password
- Open the app and tap Continue with phone number.
- Tap I already have an account.
- On the Welcome back screen, tap Forgot password below the password field.
- At What's your phone number?, enter your number and tap Next.
- At Verify phone number, enter the 6-digit code from the text message and tap Next.
- At Change password, choose a new password, repeat it and tap Next.
After the last step the message Password changed appears, with the text "Your password has been updated. You can now log in with your new password." Log in with your phone number and the new password. The new password needs at least eight characters with a lower-case letter, a capital, a digit and a special character.
The code does not arrive or does not work
The code is six digits, valid for fifteen minutes and usable only once. The text message reads: "Your SimplePark code is … Never share this code."
- If you request a new code too quickly, the app says Code already sent: "A code has already been sent; use the previous code."
- If the code is wrong, you see Invalid code. Check that you are using the latest text message; an older code no longer works.
- If nothing arrives, check that your phone has reception and that you entered the number with the right country code.
You see "No account found"
This route only works for accounts with a password. The app checks that at the last step: if you see No account found after confirming your new password, with the text "No account was found for this phone number", that can mean two things. Either there is no account for this number, and you create one. Or your account runs through Google or Apple: then there is no password to reset and you log in with Continue with Google or Continue with Apple. See Cannot log in.
No access to your phone number any more
Without the text message you cannot get through on your own, because the code is the only check. Email [email protected] and tell us what you still know: your name, your account's email address, a licence plate in it and roughly when you last parked. We verify your identity and help you further. Without that check we do not hand over an account; that protects you from someone posing as you.
If your old number still works, change it in the app while you can. See Changing your phone number.
