Account blocked by an outstanding amount

If an invoice is open, your vehicles are blocked and you cannot start a session. Pay the invoice and you can park again straight away.

Updated September 8, 2026

If there is an open invoice on your account, you cannot start a new parking session until it is paid. The block disappears the moment you pay; there is nothing to request or wait for.

What is actually blocked

With an outstanding amount we block your vehicles, not your login. So you can still get into the app, see your invoices and pay. You just cannot start. Adding another licence plate does not help: as long as an invoice is open, that vehicle is blocked straight away too.

The map shows a red alert with the number of open invoices: "This invoice still needs to be paid." Tap it and you land on that invoice. If you try to start a session anyway, the app refuses with "This vehicle is blocked." If someone else parks with your plate, they see "This license plate belongs to a blocked vehicle."

How to lift the block

  1. Open the app and tap the alert on the map, or go to Profile › Invoices › Payments.
  2. Open the outstanding invoice; at the top it says Outstanding payment.
  3. Tap Pay now and complete the payment with your bank.
  4. Then start a session on the map again with Start action.

You can also pay through the Pay outstanding amount button in the email you received about the amount. See Paying an outstanding amount.

What happens if you do not pay

WhenWhat happens
ImmediatelyYour vehicles are blocked; you cannot start a session
Day 14Formal notice of default by email with a second payment period: your last chance to avoid collection costs
Day 21A second and final formal reminder by email
Day 30Collection costs and statutory interest; the file goes to a collection agency
More than 60 days after the last reminderPlacement on our internal incident list

The collection costs follow the statutory scale, with a minimum of € 40. Interest runs from the date stated in the reminder until the day you have paid in full.

The last row of the table comes from the privacy statement, not from the app: your account and your plate stay on that list for at most five years, or less if the claim is settled. We inform you in advance about placement, and you can object through [email protected].

A real account block

There is also a block on the account itself. We set that by hand, for reasons other than an open invoice, and you get an email about it saying that your account has been blocked and for what reason. The map then shows Account blocked: "Your account is blocked. As a result, you are unable to start any parking actions." Every action you try brings up the dialog: "You cannot use this action while your account is blocked. Please contact support if you need help."

You cannot pay that kind of block away. Email [email protected] from your account's email address. Once it is lifted, you get an email that your account has been unblocked again. If the outstanding amount came from a failed or reversed direct debit, see Direct debit reversed.
