Creating an account

You create a SimplePark account with your phone number and a password, or with Google or Apple. Here is how signing up works in the app.

Updated September 8, 2026

To park with SimplePark you need an account. You create it in the app, in about a minute. Your account is built around your phone number: you sign in with it, and it is where we send the verification codes that keep your account secure. We only ask for an email address afterwards, when you complete your account.

Three ways to start

Open the app without an account and you land on Sign in, with these buttons:

  • Continue with phone number: you choose your own password.
  • Continue with Google: you use your Google account.
  • Continue with Apple: on iPhone only.

On an iPhone all three are there. On Android, Continue with Google only appears when Google Play services are available on your device; if they are not, the app says so and you sign up with your phone number instead.

Google and Apple are the quickest: no password to remember. See Signing in with Google or Apple. Below is the route with a phone number.

Creating an account with your phone number

  1. On Sign in, tap Continue with phone number.
  2. On the Welcome! screen, choose Create an account.
  3. Enter your number under What's your phone number? and tap Next.
  4. Enter the 6-digit code you receive by text message.
  5. Under Create password, choose a password, repeat it under Confirm password and tap Next.

At the top you see Step 1 of 3, so you know where you are. Entered the wrong number? On the code screen, tap Enter another number.

What your password must contain

At least eight characters, including a lower-case letter, a capital letter, a digit and a special character. The app lists the requirements under the field and only accepts Next once your password meets them. Choose something you do not use anywhere else, or let your phone's password manager generate one.

Next: completing your account

After signing up you are logged in, but not yet ready to park. The app asks you to complete your account: your name, email address, phone number and first vehicle. That is one wizard you work through in a few minutes. Your address is not part of it; we only ask for that when you link a bank account. See Completing your account.

Until then the map shows Complete your account settings with a Continue button, which picks the wizard up where you left off.

An account already exists for this number

If you see Account already exists, there is already an account on this phone number. Go back and choose I already have an account. Forgotten your password? Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen; see Forgot password.

If your account runs through Google or Apple, the phone-number sign-in screen does not recognise you and shows Login failed. Use that provider's button instead of a password.

Terms

Below the buttons on the sign-in screen it says: "By continuing, you agree to our terms and conditions and the privacy policy." There is no separate checkbox: continuing is accepting. You can open both texts from that same screen, and later again under Profile. An account is personal: you are responsible for everything parked through your account, even if someone else uses your phone. What we do with your data is in our privacy statement.
