Signing in with Google or Apple

Sign up without a password using your Google account, or your Apple account on iPhone. How it works and where to see which method you used.

Updated September 8, 2026

Besides a phone number with a password, you can sign up with your Google account, and on iPhone with your Apple account. You do not have to think of a password or remember one: you confirm in Google's or Apple's own screen and you are in. Everything else about your account works exactly the same.

Signing up with Google or Apple

  1. Open the app. You land on Sign in.
  2. Tap Continue with Google or Continue with Apple.
  3. In Google's or Apple's screen, pick the account you want to use and confirm.
  4. You return to the app, signed in.

If you do not have a SimplePark account yet, one is created straight away. If it already existed with the same provider, you simply sign in to it.

What you still fill in afterwards

With Google or Apple too, the app asks you to complete your account: your name, email address, phone number and first vehicle. Your phone number is needed here as well, because that is what secures your account. Your name is taken from your Google or Apple account, so the wizard usually skips that step. Your email address still has to be confirmed with a code. See Completing your account.

Where to see which method you used

Go to Profile › Security. At the top it says Signed in with, showing Phone number, Google or Apple. The Update password row only appears on a phone-number account; with Google or Apple you have no password with us and the row is not there.

On a new device

Install the app on your new phone and tap the same button again, Continue with Google or Continue with Apple. You land in the same account, with your vehicles, your credit and your history. No password is needed and there is nothing to transfer. See Signing in on a new device.

Already have an account with a password?

The phone-number-and-password sign-in screen only knows accounts created that way. If your account runs through Google or Apple, that screen shows Login failed even when the phone number is right; use the Google or Apple button instead. Try to reset your password in that situation and the app says it in so many words: "An account with this phone number already exists via Google. Log in with Google instead."

You cannot attach two sign-in methods to one account, and you cannot switch from one to the other yourself: each sign-in method is a separate account with us. Email [email protected] if you want to switch.

What Google and Apple see

They only confirm that you are who you say you are. They get no view of your parking actions, your vehicles or your credit. In the other direction, we get no access to your Google or Apple account: we only use the sign-in to recognise you. What we do store is in our privacy statement.

Lost access to your Google or Apple account

If you can no longer reach the account you signed up with, you cannot reach SimplePark either. Recover your Google or Apple account with that provider first. If that fails, email [email protected] with your name, your phone number and a licence plate from your account; we verify your identity and take it from there.
