Signing in on a new device

New phone? Install the app and sign in with your phone number, Google or Apple. Your vehicles, credit and history are there straight away.

Updated September 8, 2026

Your SimplePark account does not live in the app but with us. Your vehicles, your credit and your parking history sit on our servers, so on a new phone you install the app, sign in and you can park right away. There is nothing to transfer and no backup to make.

Signing in on your new phone

  1. Install the app from the App Store or Google Play. See Downloading and installing the app.
  2. Open the app. You land on Sign in.
  3. Sign in the way you did the first time: Continue with Google, Continue with Apple, or Continue with phone number.
  4. With a phone number, choose I already have an account on Welcome!, then enter your number and password on Welcome back.
  5. Tap Log in.

You are in. Your vehicles and your balance are exactly as they were on your old phone.

Not sure how you signed up?

On your old phone, look under Profile › Security. Next to Signed in with it says Phone number, Google or Apple. If you no longer have that phone, simply try Continue with Google or Continue with Apple: if your account exists through that provider, you are in straight away.

Try to sign in with your phone number while your account runs through Google or Apple, and the app says Login failed: "The phone number or password you entered is incorrect." The sign-in screen only knows accounts created with a phone number and password. Use your provider's button instead.

Password lost

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password. You enter your phone number, get a 6-digit code by text message and then set a new password under Change password. No email is involved. See Forgot password.

If your number belongs to an account that runs through Google or Apple, the recovery stops there with the message "An account with this phone number already exists via Google. Log in with Google instead." That tells you at once which button you need.

A new phone number as well as a new phone

Change your phone number in the app before you give up your old number: the confirmation code goes to the new number, and to receive it you still have to be signed in. See Changing your phone number.

If your old number has already lapsed and you sign in with your phone number, you cannot fix this yourself. Email [email protected] from your account's email address, with your name, your new number and a licence plate from your account. If you sign in with Google or Apple this does not apply: your number is not a sign-in method then.

A running parking action

It keeps running. A parking action runs on our servers, not on your phone. Sign in on your new device and the action is there for you to stop.

Your old phone

You cannot sign a device out remotely, and there is no list of devices in the app. If you are giving away or selling the old phone, do this:

  1. Stop any running parking actions, or stop them from your new device.
  2. On the old phone, go to Profile and tap Log out at the bottom.
  3. Then reset the phone to factory settings. That wipes the app and everything stored on it in one go, including your saved password.

Just deleting the app is not enough when you hand the device on: your password may still sit in the phone's password manager. If the phone is lost or stolen, change your password on your new device and erase the phone remotely through Apple or Google. See Logging out.
